SQUARING UP: CHESSBOXING was produced and directed by Michael Laver and Dominic Hamilton.

It won "Best Documentary" at the London Portobello Film Festival 2013. The 16 minute film provides insight into the little known hybrid sport of Chessboxing. Through intimate encounters with the underground community of the London Chessboxing Club: the passions, philosophies and practicalities behind the sport are brought to light. The film reveals that while these two discplines appear to impossibly incompatible, they surprisingly emerge to fuse an excellent partnership and prove to be the ultimate contest.
